how to wash shoe insoles

 

You wash the inside of your shoes with gentle soap, or salt and water. You put a few drops of dish liquid in each shoe and massage it into the insoles to clean them.

Then you use a damp cloth to wipe off any extra residue away from where your feet will be touching. You can also use a bowl of water with a little bit of white vinegar in it to give that fresh smell back to the insoles after they dry out.

If you want to buy something specifically for washing shoe insoles, make sure it has an ammonia-free formula, because this type of cleaning formula will destroy some stains without scrubbing them away too aggressively.

You can also clean your shoes French-cuffed or turn them inside out, then soak them in the sink or in a bowl filled with water and vinegar. Then, use a toothbrush to scrub the insoles gently so that you don't destroy any of the original fabric.
